    are homeless.
  • For years 9 has been the average age of a
    homeless individual, but
    according to Youth Outreach International that age
    has now dropped to 6.
  • Homeless youth have a death rate 11 times higher than other children.
  • It has been estimated that 38% of all
    homeless individuals are children.
  • According to the United Nations, worldwide approximately 47.5
    million children are homeless.
  • In the United States at least 380,000 children are
    homeless at some point in
    a given year.
