Grand Ledge Masonic Temple

Celebrate Thanksgiving with your Grand Ledge Area Community

Where: Grand Ledge Masonic Temple (next to Island Park)

 When: Thanksgiving Day, 1:00-3:00 pm.

Past Success: In past years, our Thanksgiving community meal has involved nine churches; St. Michael Parish School, CCD and Church, all Grand Ledge civic groups, Grand Ledge National Guard, Grand Ledge police, Grand Ledge Area fire and ambulance, local merchants, school children, families and people as far as Ithaca, MI and NC came to volunteer and be a part of our community meal.

Since our first year, we served over 3800 meals with well over 120 (each year) wonderful, caring neighbors volunteering their time, services and selfless kindness.  Every year since, we continue reaching out to many others.  We will continue delivering to shut-ins, and this year, the homeless in downtown Lansing and local Meal on Wheels.

Special Thanks to our Sponsors;  Grand Ledge Meijer, Bob Bauer, Holihan- Atkin Funeral Home, Grand Ledge police, Grand Ledge Area fire, National Guard, G.L. Rotary, St. Patty’s Day Parade, St. Michael Parish School & Church, Larry & Judy Richardson, Mark Beagle, Dart Container ( Mason), Masonic Temple,   Caring Neighbor Foundation G.L. United Way and countless volunteer hours by many.

To volunteer; on Wednesday, November 26st, 5:30-8:00 pm, we will be baking desserts and setting up the room in the Masonic Temple.  Cooking and prep on Thanksgiving begins at 9:00-12:30 pm and serving between 1:00-3:00 pm.  You can choose your 1hour (or more) of volunteering.  To sign-up to volunteer, you can contact me via my email address8crichardson@gmail.com or calling me

(517)983-2444.  We need drivers to drive for those unable to attend our dinner.

All unused, non-perishable food will go to the Grand Ledge food bank.  Donations can be made directly to the Grand Ledge food bank.  The need is always great.

If you cannot make it to the Community Thanksgiving Meal, and

still wish to help feed others with a donation, contact me before November 20th.
